Abstract

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) adalah suatu teknik pengembangan produk yang menerjemahkan kebutuhan konsumen menjadi suatu aktivitas untuk perkembangan produk dan jasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan QFD untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pelanggan atas suatu produk bakpia dari perusahaan Bakpiapia-Djogdja, dan mencari cara untuk memenuhi keinginan konsumen. Dari penelitian ini teridentifikasi permintaan konsumen yang memiliki tingkat kepentingan tertinggi, yaitu bakpia yang dimasak dengan matang. Dari delapan belas karakteristik teknis yang teridentifikasi, pelatihan karyawan merupakan karakteristik teknis yang berelasi kuat dengan karakteristik teknis lainnya. Hasil perhitungan dari tingkat kepentingan pada karakteristik teknis menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan karyawan merupakan kontributor tertinggi untuk mengembangkan bakpia secara keseluruhan. Adanya tingkat kepentingan karakteristik teknis, korelasi, dan kesulitan teknis akan diurutkan dan diintegrasi untuk mengembangkan strategi yang sangat efektif.
