The Influence Of The Implementation Of The Merdeka Curriculum And Teacher Competence On The Motivation To Learn Economics

Abstract


This research is a quantitative study with a survey approach. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and teacher competence on learning motivation. The population in this study consists of tenth-grade students at MAN 1 Banyumas. The sample used includes 85 students selected through Simple Random Sampling. The analysis technique employed was multiple linear regression analysis. The questionnaire data collected were transformed into interval data using the Method of Successive Intervals (MSI). Based on the research results and data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis, it shows that: (1) The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has a positive effect on the motivation to learn economics among tenth-grade students at MAN 1 Banyumas; (2) Teacher competence has a positive effect on the motivation to learn economics among tenth-grade students at MAN 1 Banyumas; and (3) The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and teacher competence together have an effect on the motivation to learn economics among tenth-grade students at MAN 1 Banyumas. Students should further increase their learning motivation to achieve their desired goals. The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum should be further enhanced so that students’ learning motivation can continue to improve. Teachers should improve their competence as the Merdeka Curriculum requires them to be more creative and innovative in order to create engaging learning experiences and enhance students’ learning motivation.
