Abstract
This study is a quantitative study aimed at analyzing the influence of gender development achievement and gender empowerment, namely the Gender Development Index (GDI) and the Gender Empowerment Index (GEI). In addition, this study also analyzed two control variables, namely poverty and investment in economic growth in Indonesia in 2014-2022. This study contributed to the development economy, particularly to the problems of economic growth and gender equality in development and gender empowerment. The secondary data source, the case study of 34 Provinces in Indonesia, was obtained from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics, the Provincial Central Bureau of Statistics and KPPPA. The research method used is the regression analysis of panel data with the best model being Fixed Effect. Research results show that GDI and GEI have a significant positive impact on economic growth. The results of the data process show 99.6 percent of the Economic Growth variant is influenced by the Gender Development Index (GDI), the Gender Empowerment Index (GEI), and Poverty and Investment. The implication of this study is the importance of paying attention to gender aspects in formulating economic development policies to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.
