Analysis The Influence Of Human Development Index, Capital Expenditure, Provincial Minimum Wage And Economic Growth On Job Opportunities In West Java Province
Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze the effects of the Human Development Index, capital expenditure, provincial minimum wage and economic growth on job opportunities in West Java Province. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative. This study uses panel data because the data consists of a combination of time series (2018-2022) and cross-section data, in 27 regencies in West Java Province. The analytical method used is region panel data, and the model chosen is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The result of this study shows that the Human Development Index has a positive and significant effect on job opportunities in West Java Province. Meanwhile, capital expenditure, provincial minimum wage and economic growth have no significant effect on job opportunities in West Java. However, simultaneously, the Human Development Index, capital expenditure, provincial minimum wage and economic growth have significant effects on job opportunities in West Java. The implementation of the following measures can be used to prioritize creating jobs in order to support infrastructure development, establish a minimum wage that is equitable for workers, and promote steady economic growth.
