PENINGKATAN KEBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN BERBASIS MODAL SOSIAL MELALUI SOCIAL ACTION MODEL DI DESA KARANGTENGAH KECAMATAN CILONGOK, KABUPATEN BANYUMAS

Abstract

University of Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) through one of its Research Master Plans (Rencana Induk Penelitian / RIP), that is social engineering and rural development, plays an active role in being able to participate in overcome poverty and unemployment through Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi activities, that is Education, Research and Community Service, which implemented in integrated and sustainable manner. The purpose of Community Service (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat / PKM) is to optimize the capacity of human resources, especially women in developing their ability to carry out productive economic activities in the context of poverty reduction based on social capital in the field of embroidery. The method used is the Social Action Model. The object of the service for ex- women trainees of embroidering organized by the Karangtengah Village Family Empowerment and Welfare (Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga / PKK) community organization is 11 women. PKM results: (1). Increased understanding of self-potential; (2). Social capital consisting of trust, understanding of rules and networks; (3). Understanding of entrepreneurship; (4). A productive economy business group is formed; (5). Increased skills in the field of embroidery and productive economic aktivity.  The implication of PKM is the need for follow-up and continuous evaluation of every community empowerment program in an effort to increase income and reduce poverty.
