PENGEMBANGAN WISATA KABUPATEN PEMALANG BAGIAN SELATAN: PENDEKATAN ANALISIS POTENSI DAN DAYA TARIK

Abstract

The tourism sector can be optimized as an economic activity in the southern part of Pemalang Regency. This was done as an alternative solution to the problem of the still strong dependence of the southern part of Pemalang Regency on the traditional agriculture sector. Based on BPS data in Pemalang Regency in 2018, the contribution of seven sub-districts in the southern part of Pemalang Regency only contributed an average contribution to the Pemalang Regency's GRDP of 5.1%. The purpose of this study is to analyze the potential and attractiveness of the tourism sector in the southern part of Pemalang Regency. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive approach. To find out the potential and attractiveness of the tourism sector in the southern part of Pemalang Regency, in addition to a literature review, field observations and interviews with visitors to several attractions were also carried out. Based on the research results it is known that the main attraction of tourism activities in the southern Pemalang Regency is the natural beauty supported by tourist attractions. In general, 51% of respondents were not satisfied with tourism activities in southern Pemalang District. Based on this, development and management efforts need to be improved so that the tourism potential in the southern part of Pemalang Regency can maximally contribute to the economy of its people.
