GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN INISIATING STRUCTURE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUANTITAS KINERJA, CONSIDERATION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS KINERJA
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the role of leadership style on job satisfaction and organizational commitment in improving employee performance. The population in this study is a Civil Servant Semarang City Health Office consisting of 36 health centers, while the samples used were 177 people from a total population of 314 people. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, with respondents who have a minimum term of two years. The analytical tool used is multiple regression, whereas the validity test using factor analysis. The study found there are two ways to improve employee performance. First, that the structure inisiating of leadership style direct positive effect in increasing the quantity of employee performance; second, that the consideration style would indirectly affect the quality of employee performance, through satisfaction at work. Satisfaction at work will have an impact on the creation of continuance commitment of the employees, and the continuance commitment will ultimately improve the quality of employee performance.
