Abstract

Career resilience evolved into a contemporary issue in employee career development studies. This concept is a new paradigm in the employment relationship characterized by continuous improvement of employee competence in order to always be in tune with the demands of the labor market. On the basis of self-improvement orientation and connectedness with the work environment, the study of career resilience concepts reaches studies focused on organizational efforts in building employee capacity through the learning process. The theory of social constructivism explains the process of employees building career resilience within the organization. This theory review relates to authentic activities that facilitate the meaningful aspect of work and encourage employees to build career resilience.
