MENGELOLA KUALITAS DENGAN STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL

Abstract


This research was conducted at PT. Sutanto Arifchandra Elektronik, a national company that manufactures cables. This company is producing frequency cables, audiovidio cable, and power cable. There are several types of cable products made. But here the NYM cable is taken as a sample which is the main product of the company. This study aims to determine the type and amount of defective, to know the production process is still within the control limits, and to find out the causes of defects. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the production process was still outside the control limits. Factors causing defective include defective broken cables 296 (9.16%), defective visual blisters 317 (9.81%), visual defects 360 (11.5%), dirty visual defects 368 (11.39%), flat cable  defective 439 (13.59%), nonstandard diameter  defective 700 (21.67%), unreadable/dirty marking of  defective 750 (23.22%).
