APPLICATION OF "CLOUDS COMPUTING" IN SMES SIMPLE ACCOUNTING PROCESS FOR EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT EFFORTS TO PENETRATE GLOBAL MARKETS

Abstract

This paper examines the application of "Clouds Computing" for the preparation of simple accounting reports of a SME. The application of clouds computing in this case using Google Spreadsheet. Use of Google Spreadsheet has advantages other than their low and sometimes free cost its also can be accessed collaboratively as an efforts of the SMEs to doing accounting process rapidly, accurate and transparent. The ability to be accessed from anywhere is also a distinct advantage of Google Spreadsheets. But most important of all these advantages, an SME can implement an accounting information system like a great company with a very low cost. So that data can be updated immediately, from inventory management, accounts receivable and payable even application of depreciation for fixed assets. For this reason SMEs need to gain strength in understanding the role and benefits of Internet-based information technologies as a means maximum utilization of the information technology to penetrate the global market.
