Abstract


The purpose of this study was a) to test whether there is a significant relationship between Emotional Support to Entrepreneurship Intentions, and b) test whether there is a significant relationship between the Positive Stimulation to Entrepreneurship Intentions. Research methods: Data were obtained using a questionnaire that was about to describe the relationship between variable Emotional Support and variable Positive Stimulation to variable Entrepreneurship Intentions. Respondents of this study is the prospective student entrepreneurs in their future. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling to obtain 195 respondents. Processing data using statistical methods Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). From the 12 indicators drafted eventually obtained 11 valid indicators for further analysis. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between Emotional Support to Entrepreneurship Intentions negatively (-0.1782), meaning that Entrepreneurship Intentions are not dependent on Emotional Support. Hypothesis testing results also show that there is a significant relationship between the Positive Stimulation to Entrepreneurship Intention positively (2.5266). This finding is consistent with research conducted by Decker, Calo, and Weer (2012). The implications of this study are the students need positive support in order to interested in entrepreneurship since young.
