UPAYA PENINGKATAN DAYA SAING DAN PELUANG “DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION” UKM MINYAK NILAM DI KABUPATEN BANYUMAS BERDASARKAN ANALISIS RANTAI NILAI
Abstract
Indonesia is an exporter of patchouli oil (patchouli oil) in the world with a market share of 90 percent. Indonesian patchouli oil industry has enormous potential, but the development of this industry very slowly. It is caused by various problems originating from the scope of the essential oil industry itself. This study aims to map the activity and SMEs value chain model, patchouli oil and determine the cost driver through the analysis of the value chain (value chain analysis, VCA). With mapped value chain activities in SMEs the patchouli oil, it will form the ability to compete at the same time creating a "disruptive innovation" for the industry itself. The study was conducted in Banyumas regency, Central Java province. Primary data were collected by literature study, observation and in-depth interviews. Based on the analysis of the value chain is known that the cost driver of patchouli oil business is the purchase of raw materials patchouli oil. In this study also produced recommendations disruptive innovation was the production of products that combine aesthetics as well between SMEs and health by changing the supply chain before.
