IDENTIFIKASI PRODUK-PRODUK UNGGULAN KECAMATAN SUMPIUH UNTUK MENDUKUNG VISI SUMPIUH MENJADI KOTA SINGGAH

Abstract

Based on the previous research, it is known that sub-district Sumpiuh is a growing
sub-districts in Banyumas Regency. Therefore efforts are needed to spur
economic growth becomes more developed through the management of superior
products locally. The specific objective of this study are to identify basic sectors,
the dominant economic activity and a superior potential, and the analysis of
changes in the economic structure of the region relative to the economic structure
of the higher administrative region (Banyumas) as the benchmark or reference by
using secondary data analysis. This study is exploratory research with qualitative
and quantitative approaches. The qualitative data are obtained through focus
group discussions, in-depth interviews. Quantitative data are obtained through the
study of literature from Banyumas in Figures 2010 and other data from the
Central Bureau of Statistics. The analysis shows the importance of economic
development of the region divided into three clusters, ie clusters north of organic
crops, herbs, fruits, cash crops (rubber), and tourism. Urban clusters with superior
products of culinary enthog, mushrooms, rest area, and unique attractions.
Southern cluster enthog farm to supply culinary needs. Based on secondary data
analysis, it can be said that Sub-District Sumpiuh is experiencing an ongoing shift
the economic structure from the traditional sector (agriculture) moving towards a
modern economy, such as trade, hotels and restaurants, and services. This is
consistent with developments in both the district and national scale. The region
