PENGEMBANGAN POTENSI SUMBERDAYA PETERNAK SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN DAYA SAING PETERNAKAN KAMBING SKALA MIKRO DI KABUPATEN BANYUMAS

Abstract

The existence of small scale micro farms ( holdings < 20 head ) so help stabilize the rural economy through job creation and income distribution. But the potential of breeder resources that are less explored cause value-added economic of goat farming is low. Development study of breeder resource potential in order to improve the competitiveness of micro-scale goat farming aims to (1) determine the level of the resource potential of micro -scale goat farmers (2) analyze the elements/variable resource potential of micro-scale goat farmers associated with increased business efficiency. A total of 422 goat breeders in 4 districts selected as respondents using stratified random sampling method. Based on the descriptive statistical analysis illustrated that the resource goat breeders in Discrit of Banyumas has categorized potential (moderate) with an average score of 547.5. Micro-enterprise agribusiness of local goat breeder implemented efficiently ( R / C = 1.3 ) . Business efficiency as an indicator of the competitiveness of micro-scale goat farms strongly associated with resource potential breeders . Increased resource potential farmers can be done by increasing the provision of production inputs, increased labor productivity and variety of appropriate farm technology introduction.
