ANALISIS KAREKTERISTIK USAHA TERHADAP AKSESIBILITAS PEMBIAYAAN PERBANKAN KEPADA USAHA MIKRO, KECIL DAN MENENGAH DI PROVINSI JAWA TIMUR
Abstract
Contribution of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in development has been recognized by the whole world, due to the nature of SMEs that are resistant to the effects of the economic crisis and may stimulate an increase in employment and national income of a country. Similarly, in East Java province, where in 2012 SMEs is able to provide a contribution about 53.95% to the GDP of East Java. Obstacle often faced by SMEs is the problem of financing. It can be seen from the small percentage of SMEs that have been mediated by the existing financial institutions. The lack of access to financial institutions is caused by the element of information asymmetries between SME entrepreneurs and also the creditors, both banking and non-banking. This study tried to see how the characteristics of SMEs related to the accessibility of banking in East Java province. These characteristics include the business sector, the scale of business, age of business, the market share the products and business ownership. The data used is the Census data of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in East Java province in 2012, whereas the statistical methods used Logistic Regression to see the relationship between the dichotomous dependent variables with several independent variables.
