STRATEGY TO CREATE SAVING INTENTION AT SHARIA BANKING BY REPUTATION

Abstract


Indonesia as the biggest country in term of number of population and land among other
South East Asian countries is a very attractive market to producers sharia Banking. Bandar
Lampung City, Lampung province becomes the small city in Indonesia which 92% of the
population is muslim. Thus, Banking Sharia attempt to offer good reputation. Customers on
the other hand perceive it differently. As the result their saving intention not only based on
promotion but also expand to reputation from a bank. The aims of this research is to prove
and develop customer’s perception on reputation, toward saving intention. Data derived
from questionere of 97 respondents are collected using descriptive-verificative method.
Further, we use SPSS to analyze the data. The main finding of the research is people in
Bandar Lampung City perceives reputation sharia bank as the main consideration on their
saving intention. Reputation are considered to be a specific consideration on their saving
intention. So, the banking sharia should take these findings into consideration when making
saving products.
